Santiago Eduardo Riobó

Santiago was born in Salta, Argentina, in 1979. He is the fifth of six children of Luis Riobó and María del Carmen Aráoz.
Santiago has got a law degree with a major in Criminal Law from the prestigious U.B.A. (University of Buenos Aires). Apart from his activities in Familia Sur, he currently works as legal counsel under a contract of service and, at the same time, runs his own law firm, exclusively dedicated to criminal law.
He has been participating in an active way in social organizations since the early '90s. His commitment and proactive spirit led him in 1998 to form the association known as “Jóvenes del Mercosur” to coordinate actions among juvenile groups. Since 2004, he has been in charge of the development of Familia Sur Internacional.
On top of this, Santiago has organized four international conventions with an audience of more than 5,000 young people, has participated in the organization of national and international events, and has attended and participated as a speaker in several seminars and conventions in Argentina, Brazil, Italy, Mexico, Paraguay, the United States and Uruguay.
He has been dating María José Ferro since November 2001, and together they are planning to start a new family by the end of 2007.
